The Tree

I thought I would share this with you all. This tree is in the middle of the main intersection of my walk to my apartment from school. I kind of wondered why we had a roundabout in this area as it didn't seem to really be needed. People drive insane here anyway so it wouldn't seem like a very big deal to do this for traffic flow. Well yesterday afternoon I found out why. This tree is one of the few things that remained after the Korean war. There are very few that survived and they are treated with great respect. They often are fenced in and roads or anything else are built around them. What an awesome thing I learned about yesterday. I will look upon it much differently now. I figure if it can survive all of the changes that it has seen in its lifetime then I can make it through each day as well. I think I am going to enjoy passing by it twice each day, thinking about that. Pretty cool huh?
